Well - what a day we had on Friday at the 2023 Charity Pro-Am in aid of Riding for the Disabled. All 80 players arrived in good time and in good spirits. After the bacon rolls, we all headed out to our various starting holes and the hooter sounded promptly at 10.00.
The rounds ran smoothly, with many enjoying the treats at The Hut, manned by Birthday Girl, Kim and her helpers. It was hot and the meandering Beverage Buggy, run by Ginny, Jacqui and Charlotte was always a welcome sight.
Afterwards, all enjoyed the delicious two course buffet lunch and got stuck into bidding for the many Silent Aiction items on offer. Overall, the day raised in excess of £4,500 for the charity and our thanks go to everyone for their generosity.
There were some very impressive scoring going on and congratulation go to the winning team of Martin, Simon, Richard and their Pro, Daniel Gaunt. Congratulations also go to the winner of the Pro competition, our very own Jackson who scored an eagle on 18 to seal the deal!
As you will see from the results sheet, there has been a change in what was announced on the day. In processing such a large number of cards, unfortunate mistakes can occasionally occur and we apologise to Paul, Andrew, Graham and Adalberto for our error.
In conclusion, I'd like to extend thanks to all our sponsors, players and helpers for making the day such a success.
