So the day started with magnificent themed nibbles and drinks from each of the Country Captains - nothing like a baileys followed by a whiskey chaser at 8 o'clock in the morning!  Thank you to Heather, Martin Leslie, Mick and Rita Elliott and Claire for the wonderful spread.

The overall results were:

1st - Ireland with 732 points winning the Four Nations Trophy and each member of the team presented with a glass keepsake.

2nd - Wales with 660 points

3rd - England 624 points 

4th - Scotland 576 points - perhaps a little too much of that whiskey before tee off! :)

Well done to those scoring the highest number of points  for their country, Gillian Whipp (69) for England, Sheila  and Mandy Melcher (71) for Ireland, Ben Macdonald (59) for Scotland and Rita (68) for Wales.

We had 6 players who correctly predicted the team order, 5 from the Irish team and one from England who backed Ireland!  Winners were Chris Foran, Kim South, Dee McMahon, Claire Brown and Mandy Mac from Ireland and Mark Tabor.

A special thank you to Bob and Carrie who did a sterling job with the fines - a few escaped as they had already left - but nevertheless an amazing £200 was added to the Captains' Charity.

Thanks to Evelyn who did so much work organising the event before going away for few days, we missed you!

All in all, a great day spent amongst friends in perfect weather, with plenty of friendly banter and rivalry along the way.  Thank you to everyone who made it so.
